This Privacy Policy explains how Vedic Maths Forum Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Vedic Maths AI web application (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account details — your name, email address, and optionally your phone number.
Authentication data — sign-in is passwordless: we email you a one-time magic link. You may also sign in with Google, which shares your basic Google profile (name, email) with us.
Learning activity — your course progress, practice sessions, and challenge scores.
Usage and device data — via Google Analytics, we collect analytics about how you use the Service, including pages viewed, interactions, approximate location (from your IP address), and device and browser type.

How we use your information

To create and manage your account and to authenticate you.
To provide courses, practice, and challenges, and to track your progress.
To communicate with you about the Service — for example, sign-in links and replies to your enquiries.
To understand and improve how the Service is used.

Cookies and analytics

We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics cookies to measure usage. For signed-in users we pass your account identifier (a random ID, never your email) to Google Analytics so activity can be understood across sessions. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under appropriate safeguards:

Google — for optional Google sign-in and, via Google Analytics, for product analytics.
Our email provider — to deliver sign-in links and transactional email.
Our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) — to host the Service and its database.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Data security

We protect your data in transit with HTTPS/TLS, store your authentication token in a secure, HTTP-only cookie, and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We keep your personal information while your account is active, and delete or anonymise it after you request deletion, unless we are required to retain it by law.

Your rights

You can view and update your profile within the Service. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data through our contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We operate from India. Your information may be processed by us and our service providers in India and other countries where they operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
